The Lagos State Government has released findings from an investigation into a dispute involving a N13,000 charge at Randle Hospital. According to the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, the Ilera Eko health insurance programme is provided free to indigent patients through an equity fund, while other members of the public access the programme at subsidised rates. The investigation sought to clarify the circumstances surrounding the charge and ensure compliance with the programme's guidelines.
