Expands Northern Footprint with New Skills Centre in Kano

The Aliko Dangote Foundation has expanded its interventions in Northern Nigeria by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Kano State Government to manage the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre. The Foundation will run programmes aimed at equipping young people with technical, digital, and industrial skills. This comes as the Foundation has completed a similar centre in Ganaja, Kogi State, slated for commissioning. Muhammad Bello Isyaku Umar, Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Kano-Jigawa Branch, described the intervention as impactful and a way to address youth unemployment.
