Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured supporters that their votes will not be intimidated or subverted in the 2027 general elections. Speaking at a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Obi vowed that anyone attempting to make votes not count would be 'counted' themselves. His running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, also warned political parties not to rely solely on the number of governors they control as a guarantee of victory.
