Nigeria and the International Energy Agency (IEA) have signed an agreement for a Joint Work Programme to strengthen strategic partnership in developing data for energy policy and investment, aiming for economic growth and energy security. Vice President Kashim Shettima, speaking at State House, Abuja, declared Nigeria's formal admission into IEA as an Association Country a significant milestone and testament to the gains of President Bola Tinubu's economic reforms. The agreement signals the formal commencement of the partnership.
