The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has expressed alarm over the decline in the industrial sector's growth, which nearly halved from 7.46% in Q2 2025 to 3.96% in Q2 2026. This decline occurred despite an overall GDP growth of 4.43% in the same period. MAN's Director-General, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, said the headline GDP growth masks weaknesses in manufacturing, which continues to face severe cost and structural pressures.
