The Edo State Police Command has arrested 69 suspects in connection with various crimes in August 2026, according to Commissioner of Police Patrick Daaor. The arrests include 13 for kidnapping, 14 for armed robbery, 19 for cultism, six for human trafficking, five for store breaking, and 12 for sexual and gender-based violence. The command also rescued nine kidnap victims and recovered eight stolen vehicles and two locally fabricated AK-47 rifles. Daaor briefed journalists on these achievements.
