China has granted duty-free access to its market to 53 African countries, including Nigeria. At an international seminar in Abuja, Chinese diplomats and Nigerian officials discussed how Nigeria can leverage this preferential access to attract investment, build factories, and increase value-added exports, rather than remaining a supplier of raw materials. The seminar highlighted the potential for Nigeria to transform its economic relationship with China and other African nations.
