Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) launches two tools in Africa to support smarter agrifood public spending

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has introduced two new tools in Africa to improve public spending on agrifood systems. The first tool, ASPEA, offers a framework for countries to define and measure agrifood expenditures, enhancing data consistency and accountability. The second, PolOpT, helps governments optimize resource allocation across policies to achieve development goals. The launch occurred at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Kigali, Rwanda.
