The death toll from devastating floods on the China-Nepal border has risen to at least 1,287 in Nepal, with 5,083 people missing, according to the disaster authority. Chinese state media reported 21 deaths in Tibet and 541 missing, bringing the total to 1,308 dead and 5,624 missing. More than 800 foreigners remain unaccounted for, including trekkers and pilgrims. Additionally, at least 17 bodies have been recovered from rivers in India, presumed to have floated downstream from Nepal.
