A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Adedokun Adegboyega, has defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) along with his political followers. Adegboyega, a former Secretary of the Oluyole Local Government, was received by the executive chairman of the council, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, on Wednesday. The defection is seen as a significant boost for the APM in the state ahead of future elections. Adegboyega cited dissatisfaction with the APC's internal politics as the reason for his move.
