Ondo Leaves N4.73Billion Unspent For Two State Universities As Students Remain At Home Over Strike

The Ondo State Government has not fully released and utilized N1.79 billion budgeted for two state-owned universities in 2025, leading to low budget implementation in the first half of 2026. As of June, N4.73 billion remained unspent, affecting Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA), and Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Okitipupa. Students at these institutions have been at home due to a strike, partly attributed to the funding shortfall.
