Sanmi Koyejo, a Nigerian AI researcher and entrepreneur, has been named to the 2026 TIME100 AI List. Koyejo co-founded AI security startup Virtue AI and has focused on ensuring AI models perform reliably in real-world applications. In June, Meta announced it had hired Koyejo and his co-founders to join its Superintelligence Labs, where they will contribute to AI security and research. Koyejo is expected to play a key role in Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) division.
