South Africa: Justice Committee Chairperson Welcomes Appointment of Adv Ntuthuzelo Vanara as Acting Head of Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC)

The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Constitutional Development in South Africa, Mr. Xola Nqola, has welcomed the appointment of Adv. Ntuthuzelo Vanara as Acting Head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC). Mr. Nqola described Adv. Vanara as an experienced public servant and legal professional with a strong track record across Parliament, state institutions, and other regulated environments. Adv. Vanara has over 25 years of experience, including serving as a legal adviser in Parliament and as Chief Legal Counsel at the Special Investigating Unit. The committee believes his expertise will contribute significantly to the work of IDAC.
