FIFA President Gianni Infantino's attendance at the Under-20 Women's World Cup in Poland remains uncertain as the tournament opens amid pressure over his abandoned proposal to sell a stake in FIFA's World Cup business. The proposal was dropped on July 31 following opposition from UEFA, AFC, and CONCACAF. The tournament, which runs until September 27, is the first major FIFA competition potentially affected by the governance standoff. The opening matches in Katowice are expected to draw about 15,000 spectators.
