The Borno State Police Command has confirmed that Boko Haram terrorists attacked the convoy of Mustapha Gubio, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Borno State, on Thursday. The attack occurred along the Gubio-Kareto-Damasak highway in the northern part of the state. The convoy was returning to Maiduguri after a thank-you visit to APC members. The police stated that the attack was swiftly repelled.
