Banking ​‌⁠⁠​‍⁠⁠‌‍‌‍⁠​​‍‌‌​System Liquidity Falls N930bn, Overnight Rate Rises

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reported that liquidity in the banking system fell by N930 billion to N3.66 trillion, compared to N6.81 trillion recorded on August 11. The decline is attributed to the settlement of Treasury Bills auction. The overnight lending rate rose slightly to 22.20 per cent, while the Open Buy Back rate remained unchanged at 22.00 per cent.
