The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested some of its officers in connection with the alleged sale of service weapons. The arrests were made following an investigation into the illegal disposal of firearms. NSCDC Commandant General Ahmed Audi has directed the Directorate of Legal Services to immediately institute legal proceedings against all suspects in courts of competent jurisdiction. The suspects are to be prosecuted across four segments as part of the corps' efforts to enforce discipline and accountability.
