The Nigeria Police Force has warned political stakeholders against making inciting remarks that could lead to electoral violence ahead of the 2027 general elections. Force Public Relations Officer CSP Anietie Iniedu stated that incitement is a criminal offence under Nigerian law and that violators will be investigated and prosecuted. He urged all political actors to refrain from such comments, emphasizing that they would not yield positive results as the country prepares for the polls.
