The Benue State Environmental Sanitation Authority (BENSESA) has warned political parties and candidates against unauthorized erection of billboards and posting of campaign posters. The warning, signed by General Manager Anta Igbaato, cites environmental nuisance and references Section 14(a) of the BENSESA Law 2005. The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the state government of attempting to stifle opposition activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
