The North East Development Commission (NEDC) has distributed 1,000 bags of maize flour to indigent persons and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Bauchi State to alleviate hunger. Additionally, the commission provided 5,000 bags of NPK fertilizer to farmers and associations to boost agricultural production during the rainy season. The NEDC Bauchi State Coordinator, Alhaji Aliyu Isiyaku, stated that the intervention aims to improve livelihoods and support vulnerable communities in the North-East region.
