A commissioner with the Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NISIEC), Barrister Mohammed Ahmed Wawa, has been released after 338 days in captivity. Gunmen had abducted him, and his release brings an end to his ordeal. Details of his release have not been fully disclosed.
