Nigerian sprinter Kanyinsola Ajayi won a bronze medal in the men's 100m at the Diamond League final in Brussels, finishing in 9.97 seconds. Jamaica's Oblique Seville won the race in 9.90 seconds, and Cameroon's Emmanuel Eseme took silver in 9.93 seconds. Ajayi's performance made him the first Nigerian to win a men's 100m medal at the Diamond League final. Earlier in the season, he broke the 20-year-old Nigerian record in the event with a time of 9.84 seconds and also earned a bronze medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
