Uganda's Parliament adopted a report on the Uganda Railways Corporation revealing financial mismanagement, missing wagons, and disputed procurement deals. The report, presented by Hon. Mwine Mpaka, indicated that public funds meant for railway revival were used to benefit consultants and foreign firms. The findings focused on a Shs125 billion Spanish-funded project, with nearly 90% of the capacity-building funds misappropriated.
