Thousands of mourners, including traditional rulers and political leaders, gathered in Gumel, Jigawa State, for the funeral of the late Emir, Alhaji Ahmad Muhammad Sani II, who died at age 85. The funeral prayer was held at the palace on Friday, following his death in Cairo on Thursday. Vice President Kashim Shettima led a presidential delegation, and Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi was also present.
