Nigerian sprinter Kanyinsola Ajayi finished third in the men's 100m at the Diamond League finals in Brussels, clocking 9.97 seconds. He became the first Nigerian to achieve a podium finish in the event's history. Ajayi's season included a new personal best of 9.84 seconds, breaking Olusoji Fasuba's 20-year-old Nigerian record, and a bronze medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
