COAS Eyes Public-Private Partnerships to Modernise Nigerian Army Healthcare Facilities

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, is considering public-private partnerships as the most appropriate approach to modernising healthcare facilities owned and managed by the Nigerian Army. He made this known when he received a delegation led by former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (rtd), at Army Headquarters for discussions on strategic collaboration. The delegation comprised key partners from the private sector and the international diplomatic community. According to a statement by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Apollonia Anele, the engagement explored opportunities for a sustainable PPP aimed at developing and modernising Nigerian Army healthcare facilities.
