The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has rescued 15 trafficked children, recovered three stolen service rifles, and dismantled an inter-state syndicate involved in vandalism and theft of telecommunications infrastructure across Delta and Kano states. The breakthroughs were recorded by the Commandant General's Special Intelligence Squad in a series of intelligence-led operations targeting child trafficking, illegal arms diversion, internal corruption, and critical infrastructure vandalism. The National Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commandant of Corps Babawale Afolabi, disclosed this in a statement, noting that the operations were conducted in line with the zero-tolerance policy of the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Audi, towards crime and corruption. On child trafficking, Afolabi said the squad commenced investigations that led to the rescue of the children.
