Political parties in Nigeria are positioning candidates for the 2027 general elections, with presidential and National Assembly polls scheduled for January 16, 2027, and governorship and state assembly elections on February 6, 2027. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has published lists of candidates, including 19 presidential contenders and governorship candidates across 28 states. The lists are subject to change as there is still a window for modifications to governorship candidates.
