Nigeria's external reserves have risen to $54.08 billion as of September 3, 2026, up from $41.50 billion a year earlier, marking a 30.3% year-on-year increase. The reserves have grown by approximately $8.48 billion since January 2026, when they stood at $45.61 billion. This strengthening of external buffers is attributed to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria.
