‘I needed money for wedding,’ kidnap suspect confesses

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects—Semi Buawe, 35; Oluwatomi Obosi, 37; and Bamure Telemowei—allegedly part of a cross-state kidnapping syndicate. The suspects were traced to Agadagba community in Ondo State after abducting a businesswoman in Ijedodo, Lagos, and collecting N21 million in ransom. The victim was held for three days in a bush before release. One suspect confessed to needing money for his wedding, while the gang's leader, known only as ID, remains at large and is linked to kidnappings in multiple states.
