Hikers 'relied too much' on AI and had to be rescued. A ranger says it wasn't the first AI-related mishap he's seen.

Three hikers who were rescued from Mount Shasta in California admitted that they had relied too much on AI, according to the US Forest Service. Lead climbing ranger Nick Meyers stated that this was the third AI-related mishap he has encountered this year. In one previous incident, a woman ignored a 'no camping' sign because AI had advised her it was a good spot. Meyers, who has over 20 years of experience, noted that relying on AI in the wilderness is becoming a concerning trend.
