Osun State has adopted a new method for selecting women entrepreneurs for government empowerment programmes, aiming to improve outcomes. Previously, selections were based on conventional criteria such as business plans and experience, which often led to inconsistent results. In 2023, the ministry changed its screening approach, and early findings suggest better performance and higher business survival rates.
