The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) announced that troops have rescued 36 abducted individuals and neutralized several terrorists during operations conducted across Nigeria between August 31 and September 3. Major-General Michael Onoja, Director of Defence Media Operations, stated that the operations targeted terrorists, kidnappers, arms traffickers, and other criminal networks. In Borno State, troops of Operation HADIN KAI neutralized a terrorist on September 1 after an IED detonation along the Miyanti-Banki Junction supply route, recovering a rifle, ammunition, and an IED initiator. Another terrorist was neutralized during an encounter at Lamusuri Crossing Point.
