Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) controlling over 30 states does not guarantee President Bola Tinubu's victory in the 2027 election. He cited the 2015 election, where then-President Goodluck Jonathan lost his re-election bid despite his party's control of many states. Kwankwaso made these remarks during a town hall meeting in Port Harcourt with NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi.
