Pensioners to Tinubu: We’re yet to get subsidy palliative arrears of ₦75,000

The Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP) has stated that its members have not received the N75,000 palliative approved by the Federal Government to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal. The union noted that the three-month monthly payment of N25,000 was announced in October 2023 but has not been disbursed to pensioners. The NUP has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene and ensure the release of the funds.
