The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, has attributed recent operational successes by Nigerian troops against terrorists and extremist groups to sustained collaboration between the military and other security agencies, including the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Services. He commended the troops for their resolve in neutralizing terrorists, rescuing abducted citizens, and dismantling criminal networks. The statement follows a declaration by the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd.), of victory over terrorist groups.
