The Ogun State Government has pledged to maintain a peaceful political environment ahead of the 2027 general elections. Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, assured that political parties and candidates would be free to campaign without intimidation. He noted that the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun has created an atmosphere where opposition parties can operate freely, with their materials displayed across the state. Akinmade contrasted this with the tension experienced during the 2019 election period.
