Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has warned traditional rulers against partisan politics, urging them to remain neutral ahead of the 2027 elections. He spoke at the commissioning of the reconstructed palace of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, where he and his wife were conferred with chieftaincy titles. Makinde stressed that traditional rulers should serve as unifying figures and avoid being dragged into partisan conflicts. He encouraged them to accommodate all political candidates seeking their support.
