The Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) has stated that it is still awaiting the N75,000 subsidy-removal palliative approved by the government three years ago. The union, through its General Secretary, Comrade Godwin Amadin, said the palliative was meant to cushion the impact of subsidy removal on vulnerable Nigerians, including pensioners. The NUP's statement highlights the delay in disbursement of the funds. The union continues to press for the release of the palliative to beneficiaries.
