The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has graduated 924 members of the Borno State Forest Guards after they completed their training at the Nigerian Army Training Centre in Miango. The graduation ceremony took place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, according to a post on the Nigerian Army's X account. The training is part of efforts to enhance security and tackle banditry and other criminal activities in the region.
