Lekan Fatodu, Director-General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, has been praised for his swift response to a mother's social media complaint that her daughter was allegedly prevented from representing Lagos in a sporting event. Fatodu, appointed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in February 2024, has a background in journalism, communications, and public service, holding degrees from the University of Lagos and the University of Westminster. Under his leadership, the commission has established talent hubs across Lagos's IBILE divisions and partnered with the Ministry of Education, contributing to Team Lagos's overall victory at the National Youth Games.
