The President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE), Mr Eze Anaba, has urged energy editors and reporters to focus on deeper interrogation of issues surrounding Nigeria's energy sector, insisting that energy journalists should develop their skills for a deeper understanding of the industry. Former presidential spokesman Femi Adesana also decried lack of climate literacy as a major reason for underreporting of climate change by Nigerian journalists. Adesina linked energy poverty to the poverty afflicting many households in Nigeria. They spoke in Lagos at the inaugural seminar of the Society of Energy Editors (SEE) themed 'Reporting an Evolving Energy Industry: The Nigerian Experience'.
