Sule Momodu, a former Director of Technical Services at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has urged governments at all levels to increase and sustain funding for the agency. He called for the NDLEA to be upgraded to a first-line charge agency to ensure it receives adequate financial support. Speaking on Arise NewsNight, Momodu expressed concern that state governments are not taking the fight against drug trafficking seriously. He also noted that some NDLEA commands lack operational vehicles needed to carry out their duties effectively.
