Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has advised traditional rulers to remain apolitical and neutral, stating that the throne must be a father to all. He made this remark during the first coronation anniversary of the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, where he was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland. Makinde warned that any traditional ruler found engaging in politics would be treated as a politician. He also reiterated his readiness to pursue his 2027 presidential ambition under the Allied People's Movement (APM) across Nigeria.
