Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State, received a letter from Sierra Leone's President Julius Maada Bio containing an invitation for UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attend the West Africa Integration and Investment Summit (WAIIS) in Freetown in November 2026. The letter was delivered by Sierra Leone's Ambassador Rashid Sesay during a meeting in Abu Dhabi. The two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation.
