Governor Uba Sani has credited the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi with opening up Nigeria's political space for opposition parties. Speaking at the launch of a book titled 'Gani Fawehinmi And Uba Sani, A Tale Of Mentor And Mentee', Sani recalled how Fawehinmi fought against stringent conditions imposed by INEC on political associations seeking registration. He noted that Fawehinmi's faith in the judiciary and rule of law inspired activists to persist in the democratic struggle.
