Prince Adewole Adebayo, the Social Democratic Party's presidential candidate, outlined his plan to achieve 75,000MW of electricity within one year through decentralised generation, renewable energy, and local manufacturing. Speaking on a NAN program, he emphasized combining solar, gas, and hydroelectric power while rehabilitating existing hydro stations. Adebayo argued that Nigeria's electricity needs require ambitious long-term planning to support industrialisation.
