Xenophobia: ‘Help evacuate Nigerians’, Diplomat appeals to Jerry Eze, NSCIA

Nigeria's Acting High Commissioner to South Africa, Ambassador Alexander Temitope Ajayi, has appealed to religious organizations and philanthropists to support the evacuation of Nigerians affected by xenophobic attacks. He specifically called on the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Jerry Eze, and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs to assist. Ajayi acknowledged that Pastor Enoch Adeboye of RCCG had already helped evacuate 500 Nigerians. The appeal was made during a meeting with Nigerian media executives.
