Ex-LG boss to Okpebholo: Okpekpe Community under siege

Former Local Government Chairman of Estako East Local Government Area in Edo State, Princess Benedicta Attoh, has raised alarm over the worsening security situation in Okpekpe Community. In a statement to Governor Monday Okpebholo, she described the community as 'under siege' due to incessant kidnappings and killings, particularly along the Ebelle–Amughe and Ebelle–Uzanu roads. Attoh reported that about 10 people have lost their lives since November 2024, with a recent incident involving the kidnapping of three individuals and a ransom demand of ₦30 million, of which ₦3 million was paid, yet the victims were not released.
