A 32-year-old truck driver, Oriyomi Ayesoro, has been sentenced to five years in prison for transporting 2,647 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa. The sentence was handed down by Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Lagos. Ayesoro pleaded guilty to a one-count charge filed by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
